Emily is ready for hunting season!

Halloween 2008

Emily was a Renaissance princess this year. She insisted on us buying this outfit. I think she liked the hat the best. She got more candy than she knew what to do with!

Fall Hail Storm

This storm was crazy. It was hailing so much the ground looked like it had snowed. This happened on Halloween morning.

Jones Center Fall Festival

Emily got to see her favorite character. The Arkansas Naturals Mascot. She calls him the Yeti. She also got to pet a lot of animals including a snake!

Weekend at Memas

Emily had a lot of fun spending the weekend at Mema's in Fort Smith. She played at the park, rode the train, and played golf.

Tulsa Trip

Over the Labor Day weekend we went to Tulsa with grandpa Harvey and Sandie. We went to the Incredible Pizza Company and the Tulsa Zoo. Emily loved it. She really loved the hotel part. Probably because she gets to go swimming and she gets to sleep in the same bed as mommy and daddy.

Incredible Pizza Company

This is in my opinion the BEST place to take your kids. There is not one in Arkansas yet but they are working on one for Fayetteville and Little Rock, my friend is on the board and promises they will get one here soon. It is a huge complex of arcade games, golf, bowling, race cars, bumper boats, you name it. There is a huge buffet you pay for and can eat at all day, Brooks loves it. Emily has been to the one in Springfield so she knew when we came how fun it would be. The first picture is her entering the place and the look on her face is priceless

She is so cute!!

There was a game where a song is played and you have to step on the screen when the notes are played, kind of like guitar hero but you step instead. We kept telling Emily she was too little to play but that made her want to do it more. She did not even care that a bunch of people were watching her or that everyone else playing was over 14. She loved the attention and put on a show for everyone.

Golf

Of course we had to play golf too!

Bowling at Incredible Pizza

Apparently Emily is a natural bowler. She played on a toddler sized bowling lane and Brooks thought he would have to help her but she wanted to do it by herself. She must have played 5 games in all. We could not get her off of it. Notice how her hands are clasped as the ball rolls down the lane.

Tulsa Zoo

Emily of course loved the zoo, when she saw there was a train and a carousel she had to do both. She had to say "hi, how ya doing" to each animal at the zoo, and when she saw the hog, we asked her what the hog says expecting to hear "oink, oink" but instead she said "whooo pig".

Driving a Fire Engine

Emily did this at the Rogers Frisco Festival. She kept wondering when she was really going to get to drive it and seemed disappointed when she found out she could only pretend.

Emily's First Train Ride!

We rode the Arkansas/Missouri train from Springdale to Rogers on August 23rd. Emily loves trains so this was a treat for her. She loved waving to all the cars as they waited at the intersections.

Emily the secretary

Emily is really into playing "secretary" right now. She loves to get out her laptop and papers and pencils and pretend that she is writing stuff down off the computer. She also loves to play "McDonalds" where she will get her play cash register, take your food order and your money and bring you fake food. She is so cute!

Emily's First Movie

Emily went to the "big movies" (as she calls it) for the first time this past Tuesday. We saw Charlotte's Web. The newer one not the old one. She LOVED it. I could not believe that she sat down and watched the entire movie. I thought she would get bored because it was not a cartoon but she loved the talking animals. She had a great time and is asking to go again already.

Botanical Garden of the Ozarks

This place was really nice. We enjoyed it a lot. If you go before noon on Saturdays it is free. This was Emily's first botanical garden. She kept wanting to throw the expensive rocks in the ponds though. It was the only botanical garden I have been to that has chickens!

Branham July 4th Party 2008

As always it was very fun. The food was fantastic and the rain did not keep the guys from putting on a great fireworks show. Everyone had a good time.
